“A brilliant holiday that exceeded my expectations!”
DisabledHolidays.com customer Sue recently returned from her holiday to Tenerife and was kind enough to provide us with detailed feedback on her trip – as well as send us plenty of holiday snaps!
Here’s what she told our Customer Excellence agent Coral about her holiday to Los Cristianos in Tenerife:
Sue said she loved the accessibility of the swimming pool at her hotel, which has five different entrances. She hadn’t been swimming in four years, as she was scared she would not be able to get out the pool, but the hotel pool gave her confidence and she used it every day.
Sue had wanted some winter sun, and was pleased to report that it was reliably sunny in Los Cristianos. She said the trip really helped her learn more about her illness and relax. “The hotel was just right,” Sue told Coral. “The staff were very good and very helpful. The room was lovely and the resort staff were great.”
Sue decided to go half-board at only £4 more a day on recommendation of our travel agent Katie, who she said was very helpful. Sue was very happy with this decision, as she said the food was lovely and that it saved her having to go out of the complex, trying to find food and getting tired easily.
Sue went for a few trips during her stay, which were all organised for her by the resort rep. She said they made this very easy for her and were very understanding of her needs. Sue went on a submarine trip and went whale and dolphin watching. She also caught a flamenco show during her stay and would recommend all of the trips.
Sue added that the only thing she would advise other disabled travellers about is that it is a bit hilly and steep at the front of the hotel where the coach drops people off, and people fully wheelchair bound would struggle, but the rear of the property is fine.
Summing up her experience, Sue said: “It was a brilliant holiday and everything exceeded my expectations!”
