Disabled Holidays in Belek
Belek is a slightly more upmarket and exclusive resort town on the Turkish Riviera. The beachfront is a parade of five star hotels and expensive restaurants, with the tree lined boulevards of Belek town behind. There’s plenty of shops and cafes, a thriving bazaar on Saturdays, plus eight golf courses too. The beach is 16 kilometres of golden sand winding past pine forest and the waters are shallow, so it's extremely safe for children. If you like exploring the past as well as enjoying the sense of the present, Aspendos amphitheatre is nearby and the ancient Roman port of Perge is a short drive away. All this and with the snow capped Taurus mountains forming a backdrop too.
How To Get There
Antalya airport is 30 miles away from Belek with regular flights from most UK airports. Flying time is just under four hours.
Best Time to Go
Autumn and winter is mild in Belek. Temperatures start to hot up in April, reaching mid 20°s C, pushing past 30°C in July and August.
