The Everglades begins near Orlando with the Kissimmee River and is home to many diverse fauna and species including over a million alligators! If you prefer astronauts over alligators, Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Centre is just one small step for the intrepid holidaymaker away from Orlando too.
