Antalya is the largest Turkish city on the Mediterranean coast and, would you believe, the third most visited European city?
Situated right on the Gulf of Antalya, also known as the Turquoise Coast, the city is classically stylish, modern, yet has a wonderfully preserved old city in the district of Kaleiçi and the Toros mountains as a backdrop.
The influence of its former Roman colonisers very much remain in the harbour and architecture of the city, while also embracing the modern - with hotels flanking the beaches and a myriad of outdoor pursuits such as golf to take part in.
