Disabled Holidays in Paris
Paris is simply a wonderful city to explore. There are hundreds of famous sights such as the fourteenth century Notre Dame Cathedral, the distinctly twentieth century Pompidou Centre and not forgetting the most famous sight of all, The Eiffel Tower - now with a recently installed glass floor! Book a disabled city break in Paris to see all this enchanting city has to offer.
Paris is easy to get to: There are regular flights from all UK airports and it's just a two hour drive from Calais. Perhaps the most convenient way though is to go by Eurostar: Just 2 hours 15 mins from London St Pancras International to Paris Gare du Nord and, if booked in advance, often cheaper than flying or driving and more comfortable than going by coach. Contact us to book your disabled city break or holiday to Paris or beyond: Pretty soon you'll be enjoying steak et frites in no time at all!
There's many pavement cafes in Paris where you can sip a cafe creme, nibble a delicious French pastry and people watch. There’s also the fabulous Louvre, possibly the most famous museum in the world and home to the Mona Lisa - it’s smaller than you think! Paris is perfect for a short city break, a romantic weekend or a week long ‘vacances.’
Although it is a very old city, it is gradually becoming more accessible for wheelchair users as buildings become restored with renovations more sympathetic for those with limited mobility. Most of the bus lines are accessible and Parisiens are very respectful and amenable to those who may require extra assistance. No trip to Paris is complete of course without dining in one of the many fine restaurants and sampling some excellent Parisien food - and wine! Place de la Madeleine is a wonderful place to eat and explore as the terrain is flat and the pavements are wide. The rue Montoguiel is also excellent for exploring, shopping and eating.
