Disabled Room Only Holidays in Burgundy with Grab Rails, Shower Chair and Ground Floor Facilities
Burgundy is in east central France, lying to the south of Paris and north of Lyon. Although the region is famous for its wine, with villages such as Chablis and Nuits St Georges known throughout the world, rural Burgundy has much more to offer: Fortified villages, medieval abbeys and Renaissance castles such as Chateau d’Ancy le Franc are testament to its troubled and colourful history. Once a formidable Duchy more powerful than France itself, in its heyday, its territory stretched as far north as Holland and as far eastwards as Flanders. Due to the Dukes of Burgundy spending a fortune on Dijon, their capital between the 11th and 15th century, it still retains its beauty too.
