Description
This cosy Lodge has been thoughtfully designed to ensure full accessibility for wheelchair users throughout, including the garden. The owner has meticulously crafted every detail of the property, from spacious wet rooms with walk-in showers to lower light switches and a wheelchair-accessible dining table, to level access around the entire lodge. Accessibility aids provided include a mobile hoist, toilet frame, shower stool, suction grab rails, riser recliner chair, shower wheelchair, commode, and an electric profiling bed. These items are portable and can be moved around the lodge as needed. The property is surrounded by a decked area that is level with the door openings, leading to a seating area with a gas BBQ and private hot tub. There is also ramp access to the lower lawned garden.
This lodge offers ample space, making it perfect for larger families or groups of friends (note: no stag or hen parties). Each bedroom is furnished with an oak-framed bed and an en-suite bathroom, which includes a walk-in shower. Two of the bedrooms also feature baths. The open-plan living, dining, and kitchen areas create a perfect space for socialising and cooking together. On colder evenings, the wood burner adds warmth and charm. Each room has individually controlled radiators for extra comfort.
This gorgeous Lodge is located 7½ miles west of Llandrindod Wells, also known as 'Landod' by the locals. The town's origins are tied to its healing spring waters, first recognized by the Romans and later developed by the Victorians. This heritage is celebrated annually with a Dickensian festival every August. The area is renowned for its natural beauty, offering excellent walking and fishing opportunities, with easy access to the stunning Elan Valley and Brecon Beacons National Park.
