This converted, accessible flat is conveniently located in a beautiful spot on the Suffolk coast. Situated on the cliffs between Thorpeness and Sizewell on a secluded site with access to the beach, this stunning location makes it the perfect setting for relaxing in peace or exploring the great outdoors.

The flat consists of one accessible bed, one double bed, together with a double sofa bed in the lounge. 

The accommodation is located within the grounds of a centre that caters mainly for people with disabilities that may otherwise prevent them from enjoying this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. If you are a carer for someone with a disability or have a disability yourself, this flat is a great way to stay in suitable, comfortable accommodation that can make your stay as relaxing as possible.

Enjoy the shingle beach, which is constantly changing, sometimes building, sometimes eroding. Whilst the beach is mainly shingle there are patches of sand and it never stops our guests from having fun! The beach is accessed by a sandy path, which heads down 50m through the dunes.

There are also six designated walks nearby, with one wheelchair-friendly trail in the immediate vicinity. The flat also has direct access to the Suffolk Coast Path, foreshore and private land, paths and bridleways. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is very popular with walkers and has spectacular scenery whatever the season. Or just come and relax, taking in the breathtaking views and scenery around you. 

The flat has an enclosed garden with ramp access to double accessible doors. The garden also has a seating area.

Room amenities

A living room/kitchen containing: electric fires, wood burner, settee and easy chairs, plus a TV. There is a dining table and chairs, cooker, kettle, microwave, fridge, pans, utensils, and crockery. One bedroom with one double bed, one single bed. Bed linen is provided.

Area information

Overlooking the North Sea, you can drive down the steep hill to the beach where there is a car park where you can then get out at the beach and enjoy the crashing waves. In addition to the 4.5 acres of woodland surrounding the site.

Finding us is easy, too. From the A12 take the turning for Saxmundham. From Saxmundham travel to Leiston and then follow the road to Sizewell. 600m before Sizewell take the right turn to Sizewell Hall. Pass the entrance to Sizewell Hall on the left and then take the right track straight ahead. You’ll then be on a rough track and be able to follow the signs for the site.
