Description

Welcome to a Highland Escape in Scenic Perthshire

Set amidst idyllic countryside with breathtaking panoramic views, this peaceful retreat is surrounded by rolling hills, ancient woodlands, and the deep blue lochs of Perthshire. All of this lies beneath the dramatic presence of Schiehallion—one of Scotland’s most iconic mountains. A true haven for nature lovers, walkers, and explorers.

Luxury Accessible Pods

Two fully accessible Luxury Pods offer comfort and inclusivity for all guests, including wheelchair users and those with additional mobility or support needs. Each pod sleeps up to two people in a spacious, thoughtfully designed environment.

The super-king bed can be configured as two singles. A cot or high chair is available upon request. Inside, each pod includes a kitchenette with a twin hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, there is also a dining table with chairs, and ample storage. Duvets, pillows, fresh white bedding, towels, cookware, crockery, and cutlery are provided.

The interior layout is open and user-friendly. A wet room shower includes lowered fixtures and fittings for ease of use.

Outdoor Living

Each accessible pod opens to a panoramic outdoor space furnished with dining and seating areas—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the natural beauty. Located in a quiet enclave to the north of the site, the pods offer eastern and southern exposure to maximize sunlight and scenic views.

Guests can enjoy the surrounding flora and fauna, with access to on-site amenities such as a café, shop, and communal recreation areas. The area is rich with wildlife and walking routes, many of which start directly from the property.

A small welcome pack is included, containing essentials like toilet paper, tea, coffee, milk, sugar, and a small welcome gift. Guests are encouraged to bring additional items such as toiletries, washing-up liquid, kitchen roll, and a tea towel.

Pet-Friendly Accommodation

All pods are pet friendly. Pets must be kept on a lead while on-site, with many opportunities for off-lead exercise in the surrounding countryside.

Secluded Highland Setting

Nestled at the foot of Dùn Coillich in a tranquil glen near Glen Lyon—often described as Scotland’s longest and loveliest glen—this intimate site adjoins a deer park with over 50 red deer. A gentle burn meanders through the park, adding to the serene atmosphere.

Birdlife is abundant, with over 70 recorded species including golden eagles, cuckoos, and black grouse. Guests can roam freely among the surrounding hills or take on the challenge of climbing Schiehallion, accessible directly from the property.

Nearby activities include walking, cycling, fishing, and water sports on Loch Tay—just six miles west.

Onsite Café & Shop

Open daily from late April through September, the café and shop welcome all visitors—whether staying on-site or simply passing by. Offerings include:

  • Hot and cold drinks
  • Cakes, snacks, and ice cream
  • Milkshakes and treats
  • Camping essentials, bottled gas, hygiene items, and basic groceries

A wood-burning stove keeps the café cosy year-round, while the sunny decking area is ideal for outdoor relaxation. Board games are available to help pass rainy days indoors.

Ideal Location for Exploring Scotland

Located just under 8 miles northwest of Aberfeldy and 17 miles from the popular tourist town of Pitlochry, the site sits between the Cairngorms and Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Parks. Tay Forest Park surrounds the area, offering countless natural attractions.

Nearby Aberfeldy provides shops, dining options, and attractions including Castle Menzies, The Birks of Aberfeldy, and Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery. Pitlochry and Blair Atholl are also within easy reach.

The A9 trunk road is approximately 30 minutes away, providing reliable access to Scotland’s wider motorway network.
