The Cottage is situated near to the pretty village of Oswaldkirk, near the popular North York Moors market town of Helmsley. This two hundred year old period property is built from local stone and provides good quality, accessible accommodation for up to five guests. This is the ideal location for a family holiday spent exploring the North York Moors and east coast.

Entering straight into the kitchen you can't help but notice the original stone floor which flows through much of the property. Well laid out and with a country feel this really will be the heart of your holiday home, and the addition of a breakfast table with bench seating adds to the character. The huge living/dining room has a vaulted ceiling and retains the original beams, but the real bonus to this room are the picture windows that span the full length. After a long day exploring the local area why not relax on one of the sofas that surround the traditional wood burner and enjoy your favourite movie on the large flat screen TV.

The master bedroom has a standard double bed and an electric single bed. A further twin room is situated just next door. The accommodation is completed with a wet room which has facilities for those who need assistance during their stay. The Cottage is tastefully decorated throughout and with good quality soft furnishings and deep, comfortable mattresses you are sure of a great nights sleep.

Outside of the property there is a garage, ideal for storing bikes and any barbecue equipment, while to the rear is a lawned, unfenced area complete with seating and great views! The market town of Helmsley is just under three miles away and is noted as the Jewel in Yorkshire Crown. Offering a plethora of independent shops, galleries and boutiques and too many bars and restaurants to count, there is so much on offer, from award winning delis to the very best in fine dining. Not to be missed during your stay are the National Centre for Birds of Prey at Duncombe Park, the castle and the walled garden.

The beauty of the North York Moors National Park is on your doorstep and is an absolute haven for nature lovers, walkers and cyclists alike. This area has so much to offer including the stunning East Yorkshire coastline, and for those wishing to enjoy a little more culture, the historic city of York is under 40 minutes drive away. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles away.
