Work for photographers

Are you a professional photographer (or aspiring to become one)?

We are currently looking for photographers to register with us for the following work:

Photographing holiday accommodation in your area. We will pay a fixed fee of £50 (plus VAT if you are VAT registered) for each correctly photographed property that we assign to you. You must be either self employed or work for an organisation that can provide us with an invoice for each job.

Job Requirements

Each job will include photographs of

• the accommodation exterior (including approach, front aspect, views and recreational areas)
• every room in the accommodation
• photographs of accessible facilities (eg ramps, hand rails, hoists etc)
• photographs of features (eg swimming pool, fire place, television, patio furnature, bar etc)
• photographs of local facilities and attractions
• Panoramas where applicable
• We may also request a video tour of the holiday accommodation (for an additional £20)

Photography Standards

Photographs need to be of a very high standard such as those seen on this flickr page

Specifically that

• Rooms must be prepared for photos by removing clutter, turning all lights on etc
• All parts of each photo must be correctly exposed (using HDR and/or multiple flash to balance interiors with exterior views)
• All parts of each photo must in sharp focus (except for deliberate creative effect)
• A wide angle lens is expected for interior shots (typically 20mm on full frame cameras)
• Photos must be free from distortion
• Photos must be provided to us in formats suitable for print and web
• Photos must be your own work
• Photos must be provided with full permission for us to use indefinitely in any way we please without restrictions
• Exterior photos and photos featuring external views must be taken when the weather is good

If work is not to standard we reserve the right to withhold payment in which case we will of course not use the photos. If only some of the photos are unsuitable we may negotiate a reduced fee.

Photographers may use the photos they take in their own portfolios subject to permission from the holiday accommodation owners. We are willing to provide endorsements for photographers who meet our standards.
