Supporting Good Causes

At DisabledHolidays.com we place a big emphasis on social responsibility and ethical behaviour. We give an accessible holiday guarantee and refuse to work with suppliers who don’t meet our standards, because we understand what a person with a disability needs from their holiday – and we won’t compromise our ethics.

But our responsibility doesn’t stop when we’ve made your booking.

We donate 10% of everything we earn as a business to various charities and good causes – chosen by our members of staff – supporting those in need and improving human welfare. To learn where the 10% of the commission we earn from your holiday goes, please see below.

Life Association

DisabledHolidays.com Managing Director Paul Nadin at the Life Association's children's home in Madurai, IndiaFor over 20 years, the UK registered charity Life Association have been building and managing children’s homes for some of the poorest and most disadvantaged children in India. One in three of the world’s poor live in India, and for a child with disabilities, life can be very tough indeed.

The Life Association children’s home in Madurai provides education, food, clothing and healthcare for children with both physical and mental disabilities. They also seek to raise awareness about the plight of the Dalits, formerly known as the Untouchables, who suffer from being at the very bottom of Indian society.

Dalit Goods Co. is the trading arm of the Life Association. You can support their work by buying their beautiful hand-crafted candles, spices, soaps and other fair trade items by visiting the Dalit website. Alternatively, you can donate online at Life Association.

DisabledHolidays.com are proud to support the work of Life Association in India.
