I will need adaptations to my accommodation. Is this something you can arrange?

Yes. Many of the holiday properties we advertise are suitable for people who are blind or partially sighted. A number of cottages and hotels both in the UK and overseas specifically cater for people with sight impairments. Some adaptations we can arrange are:

  • Furniture that has been specifically designed to aid, rather than impair, spatial awareness
  • Onsite information in large print or Braille
  • Kitchen equipment with built-in talking features

These three self-contained Herefordshire cottages have achieved an English Tourist Board 4–5-star Gold award rating, have a National Accessibility Grading up to V2, H2, M1 and M3 and have been reviewed by for your benefit. Interlinked cottages in their own grounds have been specifically designed for the visually impaired guest in mind. They can be hired together or separately, sleeping ten in total.

Can you arrange assistance at the airport?

Yes. Airport assistance can be pre-booked and arranged free of charge through us. We can arrange for someone to help you from your taxi at the airport, assist you at the check-in desk, and escort you to the aircraft and help you board. If needed, we can also arrange hoists and lifts on and off the plane.

Can you help me plan accessible days out?

Yes. We can plan the accessibility of your chosen holiday destination before you book with us. If there is something in particular you would like to do on holiday, we can arrange it for you prior to travel.

Would cruising be a suitable holiday?

Yes. Cruise ships have various important amenities for people with visual impairments, including:

  • Orientation tours

Can I take an assistance animal onboard a cruise?

Yes. Service animals are welcome onboard cruise ships, which typically provide a 4x4-ft relief area with cypress mulch.
