I will need adaptations to my accommodation - is this something you can arrange?

Yes - many of the holiday properties we advertise are suitable for people who are blind or partially sighted. A number of cottages and hotels both in the UK and overseas specifically cater for people with sight impairments. Some adaptations we can arrange are:

  • Furniture that has been specifically designed to aid rather than impair spatial awareness
  • On-site information in large print or braille
  • Kitchen equipment with built in talking features

UK cottages with facilities for people with sight loss

Three cottages in Herefordshire - All three self-contained cottages have achieved an English Tourist Board rating of 4-5 Star Gold, have a National Accessibility Grading up to V2, H2, M1 and M3 and have been reviewed by for your benefit. Interlinked cottages in their own grounds have been specifically designed for the visually impaired guest in mind. They can be hired together or separately, sleeping 10 in total.

Cottage 1 Sleeps 4, Bedrooms are upstairs, accommodation has steps throughout however adaptations have been made for guests with visual impairments.

Cottage 2 Sleeps 4, bedrooms on first floor, this accommodation has been purpose built for a guest with a visual impairment. Hand rails go all the way up the stairs.

Cottage 3 Sleeps 2, adapted more for guest in a wheelchair, all rooms are on the ground floor. Interlinks with cottage 2.

Can you arrange assistance at the airport?

Yes - airport assistance can be pre-booked and arranged free of charge through ourselves. We can arrange for someone to help you from your taxi at the airport, at the check-in desk to assist you with checking in your bags, escorting you to the aircraft and helping you to board the aircraft. If needed, we can also arrange hoists and lifts on and off the plane.

Can you help me plan accessible days out?

Yes - we can plan the accessibility of your chosen holiday destination before you book with us. If there is something in particular you would like to do on holiday we can arrange this for you prior to travel.

I will require assistance while on holiday - can you arrange this for me?
