A shared laundry room is provided for your use with a washer/dryer, large freezer and sink area. A drying area for your boots and coats as well as secure storage for your bicycles are also available. This room also serves as a games room with a darts board, a pool table and table tennis facilities. It is also suitable as a shared meeting/communal room for ramblers or cyclists to discuss their holiday plans.
Garden
The cottage has a patio area including barbecue and seating. The extended garden (i.e., the field) includes a full-sized play area (swings, slide, trampoline etc.) and a separate lake where you can fish for trout. There is also a hot tub (shared with the cottage next door and 3 camping pods) where you can enjoy views over the lake and the surrounding countryside.
Location
The cottage stands near the peaceful village of Mydroilyn, in gorgeous countryside. Mydroilyn is located halfway between New Quay (7 miles west, on the coast) and Lampeter (12 miles east) and offers endless activities for small family holidays in West Wales. Located on the farm itself is a fishing lake (part and parcel of your holiday), a hot tub overlooking the lake (shared with the holiday cottage next door) an open-air play area for children and a games room.
Nearby, the bustling and picturesque fishing town of New Quay offers excellent walking, fishing, sandy beaches, mouth-watering restaurants and much more. If you’re looking for activity holidays in West Wales or a tranquil location to get away from it all, this is the place for you. New Quay has a lovely sandy beach, and bottlenose dolphins, porpoise and seals who reside in Cardigan Bay can be frequently seen from the harbour wall.
The Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron lies 8 miles to the north. This architectural gem is full of interest. There’s a Sea Aquarium, the famous Harbourmaster Restaurant and the National Trust’s Llanerchaeron estate.
Travel inland from Aberaeron to the Teifi Valley. A favourite with visitors is Cenarth Falls, a famous beauty spot. From Aberystwyth travel on the narrow-gauge Vale of Rheidol Railway and experience the waterfalls at Devil’s Bridge, or visit the ruins at Strata Florida Abbey, near Pontrhydfendigaid in the Cambrian Mountains. Central for touring Wales and ideal for pursuits such as angling, sailing, birdwatching, cycling and walking.
