This cottage, rated under the National Accessibility Scheme Mobility 2, is located on the edge of a village, making it an ideal base for exploring the Solway Coast, Cockermouth, Keswick, and the northern fells and lakes. You can enjoy stunning scenery without the crowds typically found in the central Lakes. Finished to a high standard, the cottages are well-equipped for family getaways, featuring a hot tub available for private hire. Additionally, within walking distance, there is a heated indoor swimming pool that can also be booked for private use online. Guests can also enjoy access to the sauna and Jacuzzi.

Room specifications

This charming property is all on the ground floor and offers a cozy living room with a TV, CD player, DVD player, and an electric woodburner. The kitchen/dining room is well-equipped with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer dryer, with patio doors leading to a lovely patio area. There is also a conservatory to enjoy. The bedroom features a zip-and-link king-size bed (5ft) and an en-suite wet room with a shower, toilet, and shower seat for convenience. The property has electric underfloor central heating and electricity included, as well as a travel cot and highchair available. Outside, there’s a patio with garden furniture and a barbecue, and a private hot tub is available for hire (£50 per week, £30 per short break). Guests can also enjoy shared access to an indoor heated swimming pool (5m x 12m, depth 1m) with a Jacuzzi and sauna, available for private use during select morning and afternoon hours by prior arrangement. Private parking for one car and wheelchair access are provided. The property has a security deposit of £100. The paddock area is shared, and there is a beck in the paddock area. Biomass central heating, bed linen, and towels are included. No smoking allowed.
