Description
Nestled peacefully amongst the rolling countryside, with spectacular views over the picturesque Teifi Valley and rugged Preseli Hills of Pembrokeshire, these traditional Welsh barn has been lovingly restored. The barn make a perfect touring base for couples or families looking for a unique holiday experience.
The former barns date back to the 18th century and have been sympathetically restored to retain all of their original charm and character. Welcoming touches have been added, including blazing wood-burning stoves for those cosy nights in. Sit back and relax in the beautiful grounds, or for the more active, enjoy the numerous leisure facilities Penwern Fach has to offer, including a golf practice, a football field, children’s play area and games room, a great distraction for inclement weather.
A short distance away lies the charming village of Cenarth, which is famous for its salmon leaping, glistening waterfalls and the nearby country club which offers excellent facilities for guests to enjoy, including a bar, swimming pool and Jacuzzi (£3.70 pp per day), sauna and gym (discounted rates).
The area itself has lots to offer, including fantastic walks along the nearby Preseli Hills, where visitors can discover the numerous trails and enchanted sites scattered along the rolling countryside. Conveniently located on the edge of the Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion borders, guests can explore the dramatic coastlines and discover the pretty coastal towns of Aberaeron, New Quay and Newport, offering a collection of seafood restaurants, boutique gift shops and unblemished beaches, where dolphins and seals can be spotted on a clear day! Away from the coast, the countryside is just as promising, and home to a number of historic sites and charming market towns dotted around the county, including Newcastle Emlyn and Cardigan.
