Stylish Guest House in Torquay

With stunning views overlooking the stunning Babbacombe Downs and the sea, a stay at this stylish guest house is a must. The areas of Babbacombe and St Marychurch are generally level and you can access the beach via a cliff railway.

Within easy walking distance are independent shops, Babbacombe theatre, Bygones Victorian museum, two beaches and the world famous Babbacombe Model Village Upon arrival guests are issued with a key to the front door and their bedroom door.

Location

The property is150 metres from the nearest bus stop with a regular service to the centre of Torquay. Torquay and Torre train stations and the coach station are around a 10 minute drive from Babbacombe.

Accessibility

The property is located on a level road with a pavement. The front entrance is accessed via a small ramp, and the door width is 780mm. The entrance hallway is 1300mm and the hallway inside the property is 850mm.

There is no parking at the property. Guests are advised to pull up outside where we will be on hand to provide assistance. There is plenty of free on street parking or there is a public car park behind our property which is 1 minute walk away. Permits can be purchased at a reduced price for stays of 4 and 8 days through Torbay.gov.uk. There are disabled spaces. 

The accessible room

The door width to the accessible room is 760mm and the door is fitted with a self-closure device. The door leads into a private sun lounge with double doors that lead to the bedroom and the en-suite wet-room. The accessible room is on the ground floor.

The sun lounge has 2 armchairs and a riser recliner. It has a 32” smart tv. Bincoculars are provided to admire the stunning views!

The bedroom has either a super king or twin single beds and features; a wardrobe, 2 bedside tables, a dressing table, and a flatscreen TV.

The wet-room is spacious and comes equipped with a a non-slip stone tiled floor. The shower has both a fixed and a lower level flexible head, in addition a shower chair can be provided when requested. Grab rails are fixed within the shower and on the back of the bathroom door. There is also a drop down rail adjacent to the raised toilet. The sink basin is equipped with a push up tap.

Dining

A self serve buffet of cereals, yoghurt, fresh and tinned fruit and chilled fruit juices are on offer at this property/ Or there is the choice of a cooked breakfast, toast and hot drinks to order. Breakfast is served between 8:30 and 9:30.

There is an outside terrace open during the summer months serving drinks, light lunches and cream teas.
