Northern Lights Hotel in Hella

Situated in the beautiful countryside of southern Iceland, this lodge-style boutique hotel is perfect for enjoying the region’s stunning landscapes and the amazing spectacle of the Northern Lights.

The hotel’s idyllic remote location with no light pollution makes it a favourite for guests wishing to see the magic of the Aurora. There are wake-up calls available when the Northern Lights appear and all the lighting can be switched off for the best viewing experience. The hotel even has its own stargazing observatory, situated 150 metres from the main building and housing two high-quality astronomical telescopes.

The hotel’s stylish restaurant provides local gourmet cuisine with Nordic nuances, complete with views of the riverside and Eyjafjallajökull volcano. Guests can also enjoy free WiFi and outdoor hot tubs overlooking the nearby salmon river.

The restaurant, bar and games room are all wheelchair-accessible, and there are three adapted guest rooms. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request), and free parking is available onsite.

Please note: As the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, a sighting unfortunately cannot be guaranteed during your stay.
