Description

Crowbeare Farm, located at the end of a private lane and adjacent to the owner’s home, offers a tranquil retreat surrounded by fields and streams. These semi-detached holiday properties enjoy a peaceful setting while being conveniently close to the historic town of Great Torrington. Converted from the old milking parlour, this property retains much of their original charm, with the exterior stone and brickwork preserved.

Taw, the smaller of the two properties, features a galleried bedroom overlooking the fields. Its open-plan design is light and airy, complemented by a south-facing patio perfect for enjoying the views. Torridge, the larger property, has two bedrooms: a double with an additional single bed upstairs and twin zip-and-link beds on the ground floor. Designed with accessibility in mind, the ground floor has level access from the parking area through to the kitchen, first bedroom, and living room. The downstairs bedroom includes an en-suite shower room and opens onto a south-facing patio. Additionally, the living room features a ramp from the patio doors to the outdoor space.

Crowbeare Farm is also home to a small herd of pedigree South Devon cows. Known for their quiet and friendly nature, these docile animals each have unique personalities and can be seen with their calves during the early to late summer months—an experience that is both fascinating and delightful to observe.

Facilities

On the ground floor, the living room features a Freeview TV, DVD player, and patio doors leading to a small enclosed courtyard with a patio and garden furniture. The kitchen/dining room is well-equipped with an electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. Also on this level is a bedroom with a zip-and-link kingsize bed (can be configured as twin beds) and an en-suite wet room with a shower, toilet, grab rail, and shower seat, offering wheelchair access. Upstairs, the second bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and a toilet. The property includes oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, and towels, with a travel cot available on request. Private parking is provided for two cars. Please note: this is a no-smoking property, and there is a stream close by.
