Countryside cottage in Whitby

Located just 1.5 miles South of Whitby on the A171 and within the North York Moors National Park, the holiday cottage offers quality holiday accommodation with spectacular views across open countryside to the sea and north to Whitby Abbey. Furnished to a high specification there are two holiday cottages & a mobile home. They are open all year and have log burning stoves to keep you warm and cosy on those wintry evenings.

The cottage features a large, spacious open plan living area incorporating kitchen, dining and lounge areas, three-seater settee, 2 comfy chairs and rise and recline chair, dining table with 6 chairs. A lovely log burning stove occupies the lounge area. Ground floor bedroom with ceiling hoist and profiling beds with large en-suite wet room with remote controlled shower raised W.C and concave wash basin. 

The first floor has a large family bathroom with shower over the bath, large Master bedroom with King Size bed with views straight down to Whitby Abbey and the Sea, and twin bedroom.

The area around is rich in history, and the countryside and coastline are dotted with tiny villages and hamlets each with unique “hidden gems” of shops, pubs and tea rooms and other attractions. The owners have a good local knowledge, and you can pick their brains as to what to do and see.

Whitby is the perfect location for exploring and enjoying the North York Moors National Park. Whitby itself is a 17^th-century whaling station, famous for its connection to Captain Cook and his ship the Endeavour. Many of the original buildings date back to that time and there are lots of shops and restaurants to visit. The Abbey itself is a 2-mile walk away and you can see the town from the top of the 199 steps which lead into the oldest part of the town.
