Located in the picturesque North Devon countryside this stunning three bedroom, newly renovated bar conversion has been designed with accessibility in mind. The property can accommodate up to six guests and has been finished to a high standard making it the ideal home from home, pet friendly holiday cottage in North Devon. The property lies just a short drive from Goodleigh in Barnstaple. The property is based on a working farm.

Inside the accommodation

The ground floor of the cottage is all on one level and can be easily accessed from outside into the open plan living area, as well as onto the garden and terrace. The ground floor consists of wood floors and accessible door handles.

With rolling views of the countryside, the living room is the perfect place to sit back and unwind. The living room consists of two sofas and an armchair which can be raised with risers if needed (this must be requested at the time of booking). The TV is wall- mounted and during the winter months you can warm up by the wood burner. From the living room a ramp with a shallow gradient can be used to allow access to the patio area which is level flat.

The downstairs bedroom is the accessible bedroom, and the double bed can be raised with raisers which can be hired locally (this must be requested at the time of booking) allowing a hoist to be used. Attached to the ground floor bedroom is the fully accessible roll in wet room. The wet room has been designed with non-slip tiles, a wash basin with access underneath, a raised toilet and handrails at the side of the toilet as well as in the shower area, height appropriate storage cupboard, a heated towel rail and a pull alarm cord.

The accommodation consists of a well-equipped kitchen, which is modern and equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday. Also on the ground floor is the dining room, which can comfortably seat up to eight as the table can be extended if needed to accommodate a wheelchair.

The master bedroom is located on the first floor and enjoys breath-taking views of the countryside. This room compromised of a king-size bed, wardrobe, set of drawers and a sofa which can be made up as a double-sized-sofa-bed (upon request for an additional charge).

The twin bedroom is also on the first floor and compromised of two full size single beds, wardrobe, and a set of drawers.

There is also a main family bathroom on the first floor, this is a good-sized bathroom with a wash basin, WC, and a shower with two attachments.

Outside

You can access the enclosed garden via the living room. The garden features a level paved patio area as well as the lawn section which has artificial grass and drainage to prevent it from getting muddy. There is a table and chairs with a parasol where you can sit and enjoy the views of the North Devon countryside.

Security deposit - A £100 security deposit is required. This will be returned to you after your stay, provided there are no damages or additional cleaning required.

The property is located on the edge of Goodleigh. Goodleigh is a pretty, North Devon countryside village. Here you can find beautiful walks, a fantastic pub which serves evening meals. The town of Barnstaple is just a short drive away and this has a good range of shops, pubs, and restaurants.
