To book the accessible accommodation at Sandy balls holiday park please search for your preferred dates and filter your search using the 'filter results' button under the date search box. Filter your search by clicking the ‘Accessible stays’ option. Due to the limited accessible accommodation on site you may need to search for various dates to find the Disabled access comfort lodge. If the holiday accommodation does not state this name it will not be the disabled access accommodation.

Disabled Access information

Situated in the heart of the Lincolnshire countryside, 1 mile from the village of Tattershall. The park is set around four open water lakes and being located on the Lincolnshire Fens the terrain is flat. The park’s roadways and pathways are level and tarmac based, however there are some areas that do have a shingle base making wheelchair use difficult at times.

The park has numerous benches located along the roadways and around the facilities for those that can only walk short distances, so they are still able to enjoy the views of the lakes and wildlife.

We currently have one accessible caravan that is fitted with a wet room, and ramp for accessible access.

The park’s Guest Services Team can advise you at the time of booking with regards to any special needs that you may have and the accommodation’s suitability for your requirements. The Guest Services building is located next to the complex; it is a well lit area with large windows that allow plenty of natural light. It has double doors so the wider motorised scooters can enter freely. This building is manned normally between 9.00am until 6.00pm, after which time our Security Team take over.

The entertainment venues are at ground level, are well lit and all areas are easily accessed throughout. The catering facilities are also easily accessed and have large print menus available upon request.

The park has a spa complex that can be entered/exited at ground level.

The swimming pool has a stepped access point with the provision of handrails and the lifeguards will be able to provide help with getting into and out of the pool, if desired, with a hoist. The change of depth within the pool is gradual and clearly marked.

We also have an extensive activities programme; including fishing, jet skiing,water skiing and golf, just to name a few and we are happy to put you in contact with the providers to ensure suitability. The Guest Services Team are happy to provide information relating to the park, local attractions and transport links that will ensure you make the most of your holiday. For example: Lincoln City centre is located 30 miles from the park and is accessible by bus service.

There is a Shop Mobility scheme operating from the bus station which has a large variety of wheelchairs, scooters and mobility aids available for hire. The main transport link to Tattershall is generally by car; however, it is accessible by public transport.

Metheringham train station is located 11.3 miles from the park and there is a bus service that runs from just outside the train station every hour until 6pm. The bus stops in Tattershall market place which is 1 mile from the park. All local buses are low floor vehicles with access ramps and have seating provisions for wheel chair users. We have local taxi firms that can accommodate wheelchair users and these can be booked via our Guest Services Team. If you require any additional mobility aids we can arrange hire prior to your arrival. We can we also provide contact numbers for the local doctor and hospitals if required.

Access to some facilities and entertainment venues may be limited for wheelchair users, but we will endeavour to accommodate guests in any way we can. Please note that some accommodation may not be suitable for all electric wheelchairs due to the weight and size.
