Accessibility
Celebrity Cruise ships are optimised for passengers with specific accessibility needs. All public doors are accessible to wheelchairs, and wheelchair-accessible staterooms have been adapted with special features. The Celebrity Silhouette also includes a pool hoist.Wheelchair access
The Celebrity Silhouette includes accessible staterooms with full wheelchair access, designed to help accommodate your needs and ensure your comfort throughout your cruise. You will also find spacious corridors, step-free access and automatic doors to most decks.
All accessible stateroom doors are wider than standard, with ramped thresholds, lowered sinks, roll-in showers and bathroom grab bars. Showers include a fold-down stool and hand-held showerhead, and a raised toilet seat can be added if required. If your stateroom includes a balcony, you’ll find that’s fully accessible too.
The spacious accessible staterooms range from 272 sq ft to 381 sq ft (83 sq m to 116 sq m). With a generous five ft (1.5m) turning radius in bedrooms, bathrooms and sitting areas, you’ll have plenty of room to manoeuvre.
Hearing impairments
Amplified telephones are available in the staterooms and public areas, as well as closed-caption televisions. All videos produced by Celebrity are also closed-captioned. More services are available on request, such as a portable kit which includes TTY/TDD, Alertmaster and a strobe alarm.
Vision impairments
Each of the Silhouette’s staterooms, dining areas and public areas are designed to incorporate Braille wherever possible. There are also audio call signals in the elevators, while the Celebrity Today daily activities programme is available in Braille and large print. You can also board early for an orientation tour. Service Animals are welcome on board. A 4' x 4' wooden box with cypress mulch is provided.
