Beach Hotel in Martinique

Built in the style of the East India Company, the peaceful hotel building is part of a former family seat from those days gone by. The hotel retains the original and authentic atmosphere combined with a warm hospitality. The reception area with its rattan and wooden furniture sets the elegant tone. On offer are a total of 139 rooms spread over buildings of one or three storeys, kept in the Creole style, as well as a hotel safe, a nightclub, a casino, washing facilities and parking. The hotel's restaurant Le Châteaubriand offers a view over the bay of Fort-de-France and serves an excellent international cuisine. A more relaxed, Creole dining experience is to be had in the La Sirène restaurant near the beach. The Coco Bar is open on the seaside and offers snacks. The Le Gommier bar is open daily and offers wheelchair access.

Location

This charming hotel is located opposite the enchanting Fort-de-France bay on the west coast of Martinique. The airport is around 20 minutes away.

Rooms

The rooms all come with an en suite bathroom with bath tub, individually adjustable air conditioning, and a hairdryer. In addition, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a hire safe, a radio and a minibar are also provided in all accommodation units as standard. There are 42 rooms with 2 beds as well as rooms 97 double rooms.

Sport

Outside of the hotel guests will find a tropical garden which leads to the golden sandy beach, deep blue sea and cloudless sky. In the background the dark outline of the Carbet mountains is visible. The hotel grounds feature a swimming pool with sun loungers and parasols. Guests are invited to play table tennis, tennis on two courts with floodlighting (charges apply), flipper and board games such as scrabble, chess, Monopoly, Gares Golo and Tarot. In the evenings the hotel puts on an entertainment programme with limbo, steel band, the Ballets de la Martinique (on Fridays), band music and a dance floor. Sun loungers, beach towels and parasols are also available on the beach, where guests may try their hand at windsurfing, kayaking, pedal boating and snorkelling.
