Description
Purpose-built, spacious, comfortable bungalows set amid a peaceful woodland area. The cottages are furnished to a very high standard and are wheelchair-friendly throughout. Within the 9 acre grounds, there are garden areas, wetland and wildlife ponds with protected great crested newts, woodland paths and a viewpoint giving extensive sea views.
The whole development is designed to be wheelchair friendly and will also appeal to all who enjoy a countryside setting, near the sea and beach.
There are three bungalows available for self-catering holidays, each is detached and comprise of: large lounge/dining room with patio door to decked area, 3 double/twin bedrooms, and two bathrooms, one of which has a level access wet room shower. Beautifully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washer/drier, fridge, full sized freezer, oven, low-level hob and microwave.
The cottage has an entrance porch, and large open plan lounge/dining room/kitchen. A patio door leads out to decking with patio furniture, and step down to garden area. The kitchen is fitted with all new appliances, including integrated washer/drier, dishwasher, fridge, and full size freezer. There is a bathroom, and a separate wet room with shower, toilet and wash-hand basin.

• Unassisted wheelchair accessibility.
• Parking for 2 cars, with easy access to wide front entrance.
• Wide doors throughout, spacious accommodation, ample wheelchair turning space in every room except second bathroom.
• Controllable under floor heating.
• Easy level access to all rooms and outside decked area. *Note: There is a step down from decking to grassed area.
• Large wet room with wheel-in shower, shower chair with arms, grab rails, high level toilet with let down rails on both sides, and accessible wash-hand basin.
• Folding toilet rails now on both sides of toilet.
• One electric riser/recliner chair + a high-level armchair.
• Low level switches and windows.
• All taps are lever design.
• Wheelchair friendly furniture and carpets.
• Kitchens have some low-level worktops and access under hob and sink. All appliances – oven, hob, dishwasher, washer/drier, fridge and freezer designed for use from wheelchair.
• 9 acres of grounds with wheelchair friendly paths to pond, viewpoint and through woodlands.

Area information
>p>A 15-minute stroll takes you to a wonderful sandy beach and large dune area. The nearby village of Sandhead has an excellent village shop, church, bowling green, Internet centre, beach area, children's playground, lovely tearoom, and a hotel which does very good meals. There is also a good hotel, and a new fully-accessible village shop in Stoneykirk, 1 mile to the north.The main town of Stranraer with shops and many amenities is a 10 minute drive. The picturesque harbour at Portpatrick is a 20-minute drive and Drummore and the Mull of Galloway a 25-minute drive. Within a short distance there are many beautiful gardens, golf courses, beaches and secluded coves. This corner of Scotland is a wonderful discovery for those who have not yet been here, and for those who have, a place to come back to time and again.
