Description

These charming single-storey terraced properties, along with a delightful Grade II listed thatched cottage, are nestled in the picturesque village of Wellow, just under 3 miles from the charming harbour town of Yarmouth. Set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the western side of the Isle of Wight, Orion boasts a spacious open-plan living area with stunning wood floors, feature beams, and white-painted walls. Outside, there is a decked courtyard complete with a hot tub, offering the perfect spot to relax.

Gas central heating and gas are included. The property features an enclosed decked courtyard with garden furniture and dog-friendly extras. There is a shared picnic area with a gas BBQ, and a private hot tub for relaxation. Residents have access to an allocated car park with space for 3 cars, and the property is wheelchair accessible. Please note that the maximum occupancy is 6 guests, including infants. Electricity, bed linen, towels, and Wi-Fi are included, with a travel cot and highchair available on request. A welcome pack is provided. The landscaped grounds, shared with other properties on-site, offer a BBQ area, picnic space, table tennis, and swing ball. No smoking is permitted.

 

Room specifications

This spacious property features an open-plan living space on the ground floor. The living area is equipped with a 43" Smart TV, DVD player, and French doors leading to a decked area. The dining area is seamlessly integrated with the kitchen, which is fully equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, combi microwave/oven/grill, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. The first bedroom has a kingsize (5ft) bed and an ensuite with a cubicle shower, heated towel rail, and toilet. The second bedroom also has a kingsize (5ft) bed, while the third bedroom offers bunk (2ft 6in) beds, suitable for children. A wet room is also available, featuring a shower, heated towel rail, toilet, and grab rail.

Close by Colwell Bay offers spectacular views across the Solent to mainland England, with clear, calm waters and gently sloping sand and shingle, an ideal beach for swimming. Or follow the coastline and enjoy a stroll along to Totland Bay, where you can find a bar, restaurant and a café to try the exquisite seafood and experience some of the finest sunsets. For surfers and kite surfing enthusiasts, Compton Bay a short drive away with a 2-mile stretch of contrasting sands, with rolling seas, and a stunning backdrop of multi-coloured sandstone cliffs. It’s also a great place to go fossil hunting at low tide. The Needles is a short distance away to the west, with its chairlift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay. Why not visit Queen Victoria’s holiday residence, Osborne House, or Blackgang Chine, the oldest themed attraction in the UK? Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Tapnell Farm Park, Carisbrooke Castle, a donkey sanctuary, garlic farm and chilli farm are other attractions and activities include water sports, golf and riding.
