Accessible Woodland Lodge in Kingsbridge

A luxury accessible lodge located in 8 acres of historic gardens and woodlands. The lodge is situated in the heart of the countryside but still within easy reach of many beaches, Dartmoor and the Southwest Coastal path. The lodge is the perfect holiday destination for family or friends.

All the lodges can make use of the communal play area which has a large trampoline, table tennis table, small football pitch and a large slide and swings. Or you can go and explore the ponds and woodlands.

The accessible lodge is fully insulated year-round and sleeps 4-5 people in two bedrooms (twin & king). With the option of an extra bed in the twin room or the use of a sofa bed in the lounge.

Two dogs are also welcome at the property for an additional charge.

About the property

There is a wet room with non-slip flooring which compromises of a roll in shower with a grab rail and a low-level holder for the shower head, there is a fold down shower seat, or you can request use of the tilt n space shower chair. The toilet has a fixed grab rail and a fold down grab rail with space to the right of the toilet for transferring. The sink has space underneath for a wheelchair.

The master bedroom has an electric adjustable split king size bed which has space on either side of the bed for wheelchair access. The owners can move the bed nearer to one wall to give more room.

The second bedrooms are a twin bedroom which features 2 profiling beds, and the furniture can be rearranged to suit your access needs. The room has plenty of space to move around and the portable hoist can be used in this room. The beds are ‘BellaSonno Height Adjustable profiling bed’ which can be used as 2 singles or put together as a super king.

The living, dining and kitchen area are all open plan. The kitchen is fully equipped with a sink, dishwasher, induction hob, Neff Slide & Hide oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, Nespresso coffee machine as well as the other essentials you need for a self-catering accommodation.

The dining room table seats 6 people.

After a busy day of exploring or visiting the beach guests can unwind and relax on the leather sofa by the lovely wood burning stove.

The large double sliding doors takes you out onto a large, decked area which features outdoor seating and a gas BBQ. The decked area has stunning views across the valley.

The property also has a wood burning hot tub which can be accessed via a hoist – you must bring your own sling for this.
