The hotel has its own heli-pad and an airstrip across the road. The majority of guests arrive either by car or by coach. Next to the State Highway and the Haast River. Within the World Heritage area and at the lower end of the Southern Alps
Following a refurbishment programme in 2004 the standard rooms are now very well presented. All rooms are ensuite and centrally heated. all have TV's and in house video channels, tea/coffee making facilties. All rooms are shower only because of the remote location.
