Description

This Florida Villa has been professionally adapted to be the ideal retreat for a family and carers to provide the perfect holiday with full care and support. The villa consists of four bedrooms including the adapted master bedroom, three bathroom and comfortably sleeps 8 people.

The villa is located within a minutes’ walk of a public store and other amenities are a short drive away. Disney World is approximately 20 minutes away, depending on traffic.

There is level access to the front door. Additional facilities include a master bedroom with an overhead gantry hoist and a wide turning circle for wheelchairs. There is a manual mobile hoist, profiling hospital bed and a carers bed can be added into the room. The accessible bedroom also has an en-suite wet room which has been fitted with brand new high spec equipment.

About the villa

LivingRoom – The living room has an open plan layout, and none carpeted to provide easy access for wheelchairs and equipment.  All the sofas and chairs are reclining and there is a Large screen tv. 

Ramped access to the pool area. 

Kitchen/ breakfast room – The kitchen is accessible via the front door and is a spacious wheelchair friendly room with tiled floor.  The kitchen is equipped with all stainless-steel appliances, a Vitamix blender for use for blended diets, large refrigerator/freezer, top oven, microwave oven and dishwasher.

Utility Room - With Full sized washer and dryer for guest convenience.  Ironing board and Iron.

Dining Area - The dining table is a large circular table, seating up to six, with space and mobility for wheelchairs.

There is an additional patio table and chair set on the pool deck under the shade for alfresco meals and barbecues. Please ask at the time of booking if you require a BBQ as these must be hired and prearranged to avoid disappointment.

Bedrooms

Adapted Master suite – The adapted master suite compromises of a Profiling hospital bed which is height adjustable.  Overhead gantry hoist. (NOTE: to be returned to the right-hand side after use so that it can be re-charged).  Manual pump mobile hoist (emergency use/preference).  Carers bed if required. Large turning circle.  Wall mounted TV for viewing from the hospital bed. Comfy chair - tilt in space and recline.  Step-up step-down charger for charging UK electric wheelchairs.  Wheelchair friendly flooring leads to a Wet Room/Bathroom.

Master 2 - Carpeted. king bedroom with en-suite bathroom and access to the pool area.

Guest Room - Carpeted queen bedroom, shared family bathroom.

Twin Room - Carpeted, twin room - with 2 single beds.

Bathrooms

Wet Room/ - The wetroom has level access. There are two sinks, one sink has been levelled for a wheelchair user and the other is at a standard height. There is a lie down shower bench (gurney USA) with an extendable shower hose, two commodes, one adult sized and one child sized. Grab rails. 

King Bedroom En-suite bathroom - Full bathroom with bath/shower combo, single vanity sink and toilet.

Shared Family Bathroom - Full bathroom with bath/shower combo, single vanity sink and toilet.

Pool
The pool has a pool hoist with a changeable sling for use in the pool and spa. Guests can use their own fitted sling but must replace the general sling at the end of their stay. There are sun loungers and shaded lanai area.

The pool is cleaned every week and net is provided in case any frogs come to visit.

Outside

There is ramped Access to the pool/spa area. 

There is a security fence for the pool which is required under Florida law. Non-swimmers must be always supervised.

The villa is situated on a corner plot and lanai affords protection from the hot sun.

Double garage - For parking vehicles and private driveway.

Wi-fi and cable tv provided.  Landline phone for 911 calls.

Baby Equipment

Pack'n'plays and highchairs may be hired and can be prearranged at the time of booking.

About the location

The villa is located around 20 minutes from Disney World and within easy reach of the theme parks. Close by there is a large supermarket, restaurants, and takeaways.

The villa is close to Interstate 4 which is the main Florida highway that runs from Tampa to Daytona and gives easy access to the Gulf Coast (Clearwater) and Atlantic Coast (Cocoa Beach) beaches which are about an hour away.
