Description

The holiday park extends over 4 acres of unspoiled nature along the banks of the Ourthe. It's less than 800 meters from the town centre of La Roche-en-Ardenne. By making full use of the beautiful surroundings, the park offers numerous free outdoor activities such as miniature golf, a heated outdoor swimming pool (July & August), pétanque, multi sports, and several playgrounds in function of children's age. Indoor activities include dance nights and a bowling alley. The perfect combination of relaxation, sports, entertainment, cultural visits and a local cuisine, adapted to each season.

Swimming in the river is allowed, unless there is a temporary ban in force after a municipal decree. Anglers can install themselves on the river banks (fishing permit is obligatory and available at the city post office).

Children's entertainment is organised during the Belgian school holidays. Every Saturday evening you can relax and have fun during our not to be missed dance night (with DJ)!

Accommodation

There are 76 renovated rooms (including 4 specially adapted for people with disabilities). Each room has 1 to 4 beds, a mini fridge, LCD tv, telephone and free internet access. The bathroom has a toilet, wash basin, shower and hair dryer. Cot and baby bath are available on request. Free private parking.

The south-oriented studios and apartments overlook the park and the river, so you can fully enjoy the tranquillity and the surroundings, an ideal formula for holidays with friends or family.

There are two studios with terrace, fully adapted to people with disabilities. Some studios have a double bed, others have a sofa bed for one person. The one-bedroom apartments all have a terrace and a double bed. The two-bedroom apartments have a balcony, a double bed and two single beds. Domestic animals are not allowed on the domain.

Gastronomy - creative regional and French cuisine

Each season has its menu! Both summer and winter gourmets search for the finest and most typical flavours and dishes from our region. These specialities are prepared and served by a dynamic team in a warm and homely setting.

The seasonal menu offers you a choice of 5 starters, 5 main courses and 5 desserts. The menu is served on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm as well as on Fridays, Saturdays and every eve of a public holiday from 7:00 pm to 20:30 pm. The menu costs € 30 per person (drinks not included).

With its large terrace along the Ourthe and surrounded by a beautiful lawn, the tavern invites you to fulfil your every wish. From the lightest dishes (omelettes, salads,...) to the most extensive meals (meat, fish, pasta, stews, etc.) as well as a daily menu. Come and have an ice cream in the sun, sip a refreshing cocktail or enjoy our fantastic local beer: La Féod'Ale.

"Le Séjour/La Véranda " - These areas are available for breakfast buffets, large events ( banquets, seminars, etc.) and evening menus of those on half board formula.

Catering service - You don't feel like cooking? There is a vast selection of takeaway dishes at very reasonable prices! Reservation next to the reception (before 10:00 am).

The little tourist train - Explore the city and the region. A guided tour on the history of the city, the castle ruins and the region.

The mill "Le Moulin de la Strument" - This mill, dating from the 19th century, reveals its history during a visit by means of an audio guide. The mill is open on Saturdays and Sundays from Easter to November 1 and every day in July and August.

The castle ruins - Exploration of the medieval castle ruins, which dates from the 9th century. The towers, meurtrières and dungeons take you back to the Middle Ages.

The game park - 2 kilometers from the city centre lies the animal park of La Roche-en-Ardenne. Stroll down a forest path and meet the wild animals living in our forests. In the tavern and playground adults and children can relax after a walk in the park.

Museum of "The Battle of the Bulge" - An area of 1500m², over 120 models of American, British and German soldiers dressed in their equipment and armament, but also a photo exhibition and other personal belongings.

Brandsport Adventure Team - On the hill opposite the resort, on the other side of the river you can find Brandsport Adventure Team. Rock climbing, individual and group rappel, hike & bike, archery and many other activities.

Outdoor Center - Located at about 300 meters from the domain "Merlettes" and the campsite. Rental of kayaks, mountainbikes an rafts.

Hotton's caves - This exceptional natural heritage is the only one that is completely listed.

Riveo Hotton (15 km) - Riveo invites you to explore the river, the fauna and flora, the aquarium, the thematic expositions and miniature golf course.

Chlorophyl Park (10 km) - A park of nearly 9 acres offers a highly original view of the world of the forest! A visit to the playground is a must, as it is entirely devoted to the forest.

Houtopia (25 km) - A place of discovery and wonder for children. There are 4 themes to discover through a multimedia spectacle, a discovery room and the playground.

The caves of Han (40 km) - Take a ride on the hundred year old tram, enjoy a multilingual guided visit of the caves and check out the Sound & Light show at the exit of the subterrainean river. This cave undoubtedly deserves its three stars in the Michelin Guide.
