Description

The cottage is nestled in a peaceful location where you can hear the buzzards and the migrating geese overhead. The property boasts an array of wildlife. From April onwards a cuckoo calls from the nearby woods, while in summer there is a hare that frequently visits the garden. In between the months of April to September, swallows gather on the wires behind the house.

Accommodation details

The property is well equipped, creating that home-from-home feeling. There is a ramp leading to the wide front door, and there are wide doors throughout. There is a battery-powered Oxford Mini 140 hoist in the house (guests must bring their own sling). There is a full-accessible wet room shower.

The living room is spacious and contains a wood burning stove, BT TV and WiFi, and also a BluRay/DVD player. This room features a double sofa, matching chair and a rise & recline chair. Adjacent to the living room is the dining room which has a table seating 4-5 people (which can also be extended to seat 6+ people.) The modern well-equipped kitchen features all the essentials you will need during your stay.

The property has two shower rooms, one of which is a wheel-in wet room, with two grab rails and a shower stool. There is a tilting shower chair with a commode provided for guests. The wet room is equipped with an accessible basin and a raised toilet with two drop-down support rails. The other shower room has a shower, basin and toilet. Please note: this shower room is not accessible for a wheelchair user.

There are three bedrooms within the property. The first bedroom can be made up of either a super king size double bed or two single beds. The second bedroom comes equipped with an electric profiling bed with two rails on each side that can be raised or lowered. The whole bed also raises from between 20cm and 80cm from the floor. There is an additional single bed in this room. The third and final bedroom is a small room with a single bed, slightly narrower than a standard single (2’6”) but the normal length.

The conservatory and living room boast wonderful views of Dunadd Fort (there are 2 shallow steps into the conservatory but a ramp is provided).

The outdoor patio can be accessed by a wheelchair user from the path by the paved area near the ramp.
