Inland, you'll find beautiful gardens, castles to explore, horse riding, and several golf courses. Culzean Castle, owned by the National Trust for Scotland, is a must-see and one of the region’s top attractions. The adjacent 550-acre country park features wooded trails leading to the beach. The nearby islands of Arran and Cumbrae make for wonderful day trips, and ferries to Ireland can be taken from Cairnryan. The seaside town of Girvan, with its harbour and leisure centre, is just a 10-minute drive away, and boat trips to Ailsa Craig offer the chance to see a range of birdlife. For a day out, Glasgow and Edinburgh are easily accessible. Beach 150 yards. Shop, pub, and restaurant 350 yards.
