Accessible Barn in Dereham

This stunning self-catering barn is set in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, an ideal location for visiting local sights and attractions in the area.

The two apartments, both with the option of either twin or double beds downstairs, and a further two bedrooms upstairs, can be rented just for two, four or six people, depending on the family/group size.

The whole property can be rented and can sleep up to twelve people if needed and the price is adjusted according to the occupancy level and rooms used. Please note there is a minimum of a three-night stay in the self-catering accommodation.

The two apartments are adjacent to the onsite hotel, the restaurant and accessible swimming pool* with an Oxford hoist available for guests staying in the apartments; advance booking is essential.

The ground floor bedrooms have been purposely designed to a very high standard with en-suite wet rooms ideally suited for wheelchair access and low-level baths with hoist access in the ground floor suites. The adjustable beds in the ground floor bedroom also have a space for a hoist, which is available on request.

There is wheelchair access to the hotel restaurant and the swimming pool areas, and there is an accessible fishing lake available to guests, again on request.

The wheel-in wet rooms/bathrooms are large rooms that have been adapted with handrails and wheelchair access under the sink. A shower chair is available on request.

The self-catering apartments have a washing machine, dishwasher and microwave, and level-access patio areas to sit and enjoy the countryside. The main bedrooms upstairs boast a balcony which overlooks the fishing lake. The accommodation has large luxurious bathrooms and showers upstairs, large off-road parking spaces, which give level entry to the accommodation.

Swimming Pool

The onsite hydrotherapy swimming pool is kept at 32 degrees centigrade and the atmosphere is air conditioned to remain the same all year round.

With access for all, large changing facilities, a hoist and buoyancy aids, all guests can enjoy the health benefits of the hydrotherapy swimming pool.

The pool area also has a sauna and hot tub available so you can relax, unwind and feel the weight lift.

You must pre book your swimming slots in advance. The sessions are £12.00 per hour, when booking the barn each quest does get 1 hour free time in the pool per day.

Restaurant

The restaurant menus aim to delight you with fabulous dishes, which are made with the very best locally sourced ingredients when possible.

These include Scarning asparagus when in season, slow-cooked lamb fillet, Norfolk sausage & mash, Cromer crab, indulgent chocolate tart and delicious desserts.

The chef understands the importance for those with coeliac disease or food allergies/intolerances and is imaginative with vegetarian and vegan dishes.

The restaurant is open every evening for dinner from 7 pm until 9 pm for orders, and every Sunday for lunch from 12 pm until 2 pm.
