Area information

Situated in a fold of the Eildon Hills above the attractive small Border town of Melrose, there are magnificent views from the cottages over the Tweed Valley to the Lammermuir and Moorfoot Hills beyond with Galashiels in the distance. Abbotsford, the home of the famous novelist, Sir Walter Scott, lies within four miles and there is much of interest for naturalists, historians, gardeners, architectural enthusiasts and sportsmen and women..

When speaking to one of our consultants please ask about the disabled access in local areas as we can recommend places to go and things to do

The wonderful Scottish Borders countryside is unspoilt and relatively unknown. It is a land of great historical interest and breathtaking beauty. Edinburgh is an easy drive to the north and the marvellous east coastline, with Holy Island and the great castles of Northumberland, is only an hour away. There are lots to see and do with a constant schedule of Events.
