4 Star Comfort hotel in Edinburgh

The Hotel is owned by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and was opened in November 2006. It was created from the combination of an existing Georgian building, previously the Postgraduate Residence of the College, with a stylish yet sympathetic new development.
The quality of the original building is reaffirmed throughout the hotel's interior, with a modern, elegant feel to each space. This has resulted in a unique hotel based in a quiet Georgian Square, Hill Square, which provides a peaceful location in the city centre, but still within walking distance of all the main attractions.

A lot of thought and care has gone into creating our air-conditioned bedrooms. A palette of calming colours and textures provides each room with a warm richness. You can stay well-connected with free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Personal safes, irons, ironing boards, hairdryers, tea, coffee and shortbread are provided in every room. The sky-line rooms also include an exercise bike, towelling robes and slippers. Allergy-free duvets and pillows ensure everyone gets the best night's sleep.

The hotel has recently been upgraded to a Four Star Metro Hotel. The credentials include the gold award in Green Business Tourism, Eco Hotel of the Year in 2010 and Green Hotel of the Year 2012. They have also been awarded there second Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor.

Ten Hill Place Hotel has 7 accessible rooms. All rooms are fully wheelchair accessible, and have full wet-room facilities. Adjoining rooms can be arranged on request.

7 accessible rooms situated on 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors, all of which are wheelchair accessible. The accessible rooms are fitted with wet rooms, grab rails, alarm pull cords and automatic window covering controls 

The hotel car park is completly wheelchair accessible.There is a dropped kerb leading onto Hill Place towards the hotel from the east of the main hotel entrance. Please advise the hotel in advance of arrival if you have a disability where access may still be an issue

Hotel access is via 2 sets of automatic doors with no steps into the hotel foyer. Access to the main hotel reception, the lounge, bar and restaurant is via the lift on the ground floor.
