Disabled 4 Star Room Only Countryside Holidays in Sussex
Sussex has some of the finest countryside and coastline that England has to offer. There’s fabulous trails to be explored inland through valleys, forests and gentle rolling hills. There’s a varied coastline in the east and south, from dramatic cliffs to pebbled and sandy beaches. It even has a seaside town that isn’t by the sea, in the shape of medieval Rye! Discover for yourself what else is in store with a disabled holiday in Sussex…
Sprinkled throughout Sussex are many historic cities and towns such as Chichester and Hastings, great for delving into the past; Arundel with its fabulous Norman castle and Brighton, King George IV’s playground, with its winding shopping lanes. Not forgetting the glorious Sussex Downs stretching from Harting Down in the west to spectacular Beachy Head in the east, the beaches at Eastbourne and Bognor Regis and the long stretch of gold at Camber Sands. One of the most interesting and prettiest places in Sussex is the town of Lewes. Famous for ‘going to town’ on Bonfire night, Lewes was also home to the philosopher Tom Paine, the founding father of the French Revolution, the American War of Independence and who coined the phrase ‘The United States of America.’ Rodin’s ‘The Kiss’ was also originally gifted to the town, but it was hidden from view for twenty years, scandalised as the people were by its content!
Nowadays, there’s no such scandal in Sussex, not that we know about anyway! Instead there is a beautiful county with many things to see and do and lots of great places to explore and stay.
