There are plenty of places of interest in the area. Visit the restored Talgarth Mill, where daily tours take place, and sample some of the delights baked on sight. For those wanting wildlife and water, visit the Pwll-y-Wrach Nature Reserve, which has nice and easy walks to the waterfalls. The literary town of Hay-on-Wye is 7 miles from Talgarth and boasts small coffee shops and book shops. For those more adventurous, the River Wye has canoeing trips, or take a hike up Pen y Fan and see the views from the highest point in the Brecon Beacons.
