Description
Owners give a warm welcome to guests with a learning disability or those with an autistic spectrum disorder.
Located in the picturesque Upper Tamar Valley on the the Devon/Cornwall border. The property is situated in a great location making it an ideal base for exploring the beautiful surrounding area and the attractions it has to offer. Within 15 minutes you can enjoy the sandy beaches of Widemouth Bay and Bude, taste the delights of the open-air market in Holsworthy or visit Cornwall and explore it's stunning surroundings.
The property has access to country walks, fishing, swimming and traditional village pubs. Nearby there is a surf school which offers surf lessons for people with an ASD. Guests with an ASD are welcome at this property and the owners themselves have experience of holidaying with their son who has autism. The owners will try to accommodate specific needs wherever possible, they also live on site to help with any queries during your stay.
The accommodation
The accommodation is versatile with cottages varying in size to suit your needs. The area surrounding the different cottages is a safe, natural environment making it the perfect environment for children to play and adults to relax taking in the tranquil country views. The cottages provide spacious, comfortable accommodation, which can be booked either separately or jointly for larger groups.
Each cottage comes equipped with it's own free Wi-Fi connection. Children can enjoy their time playing in the childrens area, playing football or riding scooters in the safe surroundings of the properties. Children can also spend their time in the indoor games room where there is a table football and a selection of board games.
Character Farmhouse
This nicely furnished semi-detached farmhouse dates back to the 16th century, and remains some of its original features such as it's beamed ceilings. Located in a beautiful setting on a cattle and sheep farm, this rural location boasts a fantastic area to explore and take leisurely walks in the woods and fields. The property comes with it's own driveway and is set back from the noise of the road traffic. The property also has it's own large enclosed front lawn, perfect for a picnic.
