Disabled Holidays in India
Home to over one billion people and a myriad of cultures, colours and traditions. From beaches to mountains, frenzied cities to lush rainforests, this country is a feast for all the senses and simply too large to be consumed in just one trip. India can be divided into six regions for exploring, and each one offers a wealth of sights and sounds, scents and experiences, if only providing a brief taste of what the country and its people have to offer. The Deep South is one of dramatic landscapes and world-class monuments in cities such as Chennai, the Tamil capital. The Land of Kings in the north west takes in Pushkar and Jaipur, the Pink City. Delhi lies in The Golden Triangle, the plains of Darjeeling are in West Bengal, while Hyderabad, Gokarna and Goa are in the Heart of India. Finally, head north to Leh and the Ladakhi Lakes for a Himalayan Odyssey.
Average flight time from the UK to India is 8 hours, with the best time to visit between late October and mid March. April and May can be extremely hot and humid. Monsoon season starts in late May in the south and gradually moves north over six weeks.
