Description

This fully accessible cottage occupies a fantastic location in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on Cornwall’s Roseland Peninsula.

All on the ground floor, the cottage used to be the farm’s sheepfold and has been converted into a two-bedroom cottage with both rooms en suite. The master en suite opens directly onto the patio, with its uninterrupted views over open farmland, while the family room (double and single beds) has an en suite fully accessible wet room.

The living area is open plan with a slate floor and beautiful oak kitchen and dining furniture and solar powered underfloor heating throughout. The entrance porch also contains the washer drier and has slate floors ideal for pets, who are welcome by arrangement at a small extra charge.

Dotted with woodland and crossed by running streams, the farm has 60 acres of cereal crops. There is also the traditional menagerie of dogs and cats. 

Room specifications

Wheelchair access throughout, with one en suite bathroom with non-slip flooring, high-level toilet and horizontal and vertical rails in the wet floor shower. The living area and the garden are all suitable for wheelchair users, and a wheeled shower chair and removable toilet rails are available on request. Other specialist equipment is available for hire locally and can be delivered prior to your stay, on request.

The cottage has its own private enclosed lawned garden with rockery and elevated patio with slate patio table and patio furniture. There is also a private parking area for one car with further parking nearby for boats/trailers.

Room amenities

Dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, coffee maker, oven, hob and microwave in the kitchen, and digital TV, DVD and CD player in the living room. Pets are welcome by arrangement, and all heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included at no extra cost. Broadband is available throughout the farm.

Area information

The Roseland Peninsula is centrally located in Cornwall, on the South Coast, and is surrounded by rolling countryside and long sandy beaches. The area boasts many attractions, restaurants, pubs and activities, and is excellent for those keen on walking holidays. The Roseland Peninsula’s mild climate makes visiting the area appealing all year round.

Guests are very welcome to arrange for supermarket grocery deliveries to be made to their cottage on arrival and throughout their stay if they are there to receive the delivery. Alternatively, the local garage (approx. 1 mile) has a Spar store from which most things can be purchased. Main towns beyond the Roseland Peninsula are Truro/St Austell, both approx. 10 miles away with all major supermarket/chain stores. There is also a small Co-op store in St Mawes.
