Description
Mountain View Cottage is one of a collection of quality cottages, set in lawned and landscaped grounds, near Moelfre on the stunning east coast of Anglesey. Within a mile of the coastal path and sandy beach at Lligwy and 2 miles from Moelfre, this lovely cottage has a sunny conservatory which leads to a private decked patio and lawn and also has features for ease of use by less able guests.
Entrance is through the small porch into the kitchen dining room with oak flooring, and a table, chairs and TV. The kitchen is well equipped to include an electric oven and hob, dishwasher and washing machine. The lounge has leather sofas, Freeview TV/DVD and WiFi, and a ‘day bed’ for disabled visitors only, by prior arrangement. Adjacent to the lounge is a shower room with basin and WC also suitable for disabled guests. The lounge leads to the west facing conservatory which has a tiled floor and cane furniture. There are two bedrooms on the first floor; a twin room and a family room with a king sized bed and a single bed. The modern first floor bathroom has a corner bath with hand held shower, WC and basin. The property has oil central heating and solar heated water. Outside is the lovely raised decked area with table and chairs and a private lawned area. There is also a shared lawn area, play area and adjacent paddock.
This is an excellent spot from which to explore the east coast of Anglesey, with its rich coastal and industrial heritage, magnificent sandy beaches, coastal walking on the Anglesey Coast path and cycling on quiet rural roads. Moelfre itself is one of Anglesey's prettiest villages and has an interesting maritime history with a memorial to the shipwreck of the Royal Charter and a famous lifeboat station. The Anglesey Coast Path is stunning in this section and there are many popular circular walks with information readily available locally. The nearby beaches are some of Anglesey's best, whether you are looking for sunbathing or a beach for watersports of all kinds. Angling is also popular along this section of coastline, not forgetting crabbing and rock pooling for the kids! Dolphins can often be spotted of the coast as well. The Anglesey Sea Zoo, the National Trust's Plas Newydd, Beaumaris Castle, Gaol and the RSPB reserve at South Stack are all within a short drive.
Sea View is one of a group of three cottages, which can be booked together to sleep up to 13 people. Please see Minffordd Holidays for details.
