Description
This rural bungalow provides disabled-friendly self-catering holiday accommodation in the delightful village of Banham, Norfolk.
Specifically adapted to cater for a range of mobility requirements, it offers comfortable environs with three ample bedrooms, a large kitchen diner, lounge with wood burner, level-access wet room with shower, a bathroom and a utility room.
The bungalow has a view to the open countryside from its near-half-acre grounds and is accessed from a quiet lane with no through traffic.
Accessibility
Easy access both to and inside the property has been made a priority. There is no shingle outside the bungalow, and no steps within. To the front is a concrete drive and the bungalow is completely surrounded with level concrete or paved surfaces, including the large patio area. The ramp to the front door is accessible from all directions. Access to the lawn areas is either flat, sloped or by steps. All parts of the garden can be accessed by a wheelchair user.
The second bedroom has wide door access to the hall and also to the wet room. There is ample space to manoeuvre the mobile hoist for wheelchair or shower chair to/from bed transfers. The bed is a homecare hospital-style bed with a standard mattress for its type. It has integral wooden sides that can be raised and lowered as required. If these are left down, the bed functions as a larger single-sized bed, but with the added advantage of the four-way profiling and height adjustment. Please note the property can sleep up to six people, the sixth bed a single put-up bed.
