Description
In this picturesque countryside close to the Malvern Hills at Birtsmorton Worcestershire, lies the holiday home nestled in a 120 acre mixed family farm. Making it the perfect setting for a relaxing break away, or for those who love nature and exploring the countryside. An array of wildlife can be seen from the holiday home including; pheasants, foxes, rabbits, hares, woodpeckers, swallows, mistle thruses, buzzards and much more. On a clear night the sky is beautiful and from the house you can spot the occasional barn owl.
This picturesque Georgian style farmhouse is a charming self contained holiday home with it’s own private entrance. There’s ramp access making this property ideal for wheelchair user, and with the low level windows the property ensures everyone can enjoy the spectacular surroundings.
Accommodation
The home has ramp access and is all on one level featuring a open plan living room, kitchen and diner, a bedroom and a wet-room. The french windows open onto a raised patio with garden furniture offering unrestricted views of the surrounding countryside. The kitchen/diner is spacious and fully equipped with oil fired Rayburn stove, fridge, microwave, gas cooker and tea and coffee making facilities. The bedroom has two single beds or a comfortable Super-king double, while there’s also a sofa bed complete with an alcove for private dressing. There’s tile and wood flooring throughout with underfloor central heating. The property is also ‘off grid,’ so electric and gas is home generated - but it’s always in plentiful supply! The owner’s washing machine is available for use at any time and a Full English breakfast can be pre-ordered for £5.
Special Requirements and Facilities
The owners have made special adaptations so the property is wheelchair friendly. The owners of this property are always on hand are happy to help, they also offer respite and supported holidays. Professional carers can be provided to give your carer a break and assit with bathing and dressing, this is usually charged at £15/hour but please ask for more information. In addition physiotherapy can also be provided.

- Nearest restaurant/pub- The Duke of York is seven minutes away by car, serving excellent food. (Is advisable to book)
- Slightly further afield, the area boasts many other pubs and ‘gastro-pubs’ awaiting discovery
- The towns of Ledbury, Tewkesbury and Upton on Severn are all nearby and the Cathedral cities of Worcester, Hereford and Gloucester are all within easy reach
- The Three Counties Showground is also nearby and hosts numerous events during the year; its ‘Royal Three Counties’ and seasonal ‘Garden’ shows are some of the biggest and best in the country
- 5 miles away is Eastnor Castle which has a deer park, many events throughout the year and also offers the ‘Land Rover Experience’
- The M50 to Ross-on-Wye is 10 mins away; Ross’s attractions include many festivals, book shops and the nearby Falconry Centre and Three Choirs Vineyard at Newent
- The town of Great Malvern is about 20 mins distant; it has good shopping facilities with a large Waitrose store, a theatre which attracts many touring productions, a swimming pool and magnificent Priory
