Disabled access
The Edinburgh Tattoo offers a wide range of facilities and services for disabled visitors; however, on account of the event’s ancient and historic setting (the Esplanade), some may have difficulty accessing all areas. These include the elderly, people with limited mobility, those with heart or respiratory conditions and vertigo sufferers.
Wheelchair access
Facilities are available for the positioning of wheelchairs along the front row of Sections 1-5 and 12-17 as well as the top of Section 10 facing Edinburgh Castle. A limited number of seats are available for those with restricted mobility in the front row of Sections 12-17 and only five steps from ground level. Disabled toilet facilities are available on the Esplanade.
Hearing difficulties
Assistance for those with impaired hearing is available, subject only to availability at the time of ordering, in the shape of a Personal PA System (Neckloop Induction Coil for use with hearing aids equipped with a "T" switch). Please reserve equipment at the time of ticket purchase.
Visual impairments
Audio descriptions will be available for the visually impaired at Preview performances. Anyone wishing to avail themselves of this facility must reserve equipment at the time of ticket purchase. Guide dogs unfortunately cannot be admitted to the grandstand seating areas; however, they can be accommodated in the disabled area at the front of Sections 1-5 and 12-17.
Please note: We are unable to book tickets for the event itself; however, we would love to help you book suitable accommodation as close as possible.
